Mine hoist is used to carry the lifting and transportation of mine personnel and important materials. As the main force equipment, the quality and safety of wire rope are very important. At present, the mine hoisting wire rope is mainly carried out by traditional manual detection and wire rope magnetic nondestructive testing. The traditional manual inspection can not accurately detect the internal situation of the wire rope because of the limitations. At this time, the wire rope nondestructive testing technology came into being. Through non-destructive testing technology to confirm the internal and external conditions of the wire rope, timely detection of lesions, scientific development of maintenance and rope replacement plan, to ensure the safety of transportation.

Non-destructive testing technology expected by mining enterprises

The ideal nondestructive testing technology for most mining enterprises can be summarized as follows:

(1) the detection process "fast"

Fast detection means high efficiency, the equipment is easy to operate and use, will not delay production time, and can be completed in a short time.

(2) the test results "accurate"

The detection accuracy means that the detection results are scientific and reliable, and the distribution and degree of wire breakage, corrosion and wear can be accurately determined according to the detection results. The safety status of the wire rope, the cause of the lesion and the remaining life can be evaluated to develop a maintenance and rope replacement plan.

The role of nondestructive testing technology

The application accuracy of nondestructive testing technology is an important requirement, and the definition of accuracy is that the detection results can be accurately described by quantifying the location, nature and severity of each defect on the wire rope (taking broken wire as an example, the detection results should be clear about the location of broken wire, the distribution and quantity of broken wire corrosion). The premise of accurate assessment of the safety state of the wire rope is that the test results can be traced, verified and tracked; the service period of the wire rope is defined as three stages according to the decrease degree of the minimum breaking force loss of the wire rope, they are the normal use stage of the wire rope (the breaking force of the wire rope decreases by no more than 5%), the safety control stage (the breaking force of the wire rope decreases by 5% ~ 10%), and the safety warning stage (the breaking force of the wire rope decreases by 10% ~ 15%). Therefore, mining enterprises should make a reasonable periodic inspection plan and implement the inspection according to the law of the deterioration trend of the wire rope, so as to achieve the effect of accurately evaluating the safety situation of the hoisting wire rope.

Magnetic flux leakage nondestructive testing equipment

Throughout the development of wire rope nondestructive testing, wire rope nondestructive testing based on the principle of strong magnetic flux leakage is still the international mainstream testing means. According to the national standard GB/T 21837 "Electromagnetic Testing Methods for Ferromagnetic Wire Ropes", there are two main testing parameters for non-destructive testing of wire ropes: LMA and LF. The loss of metal cross-sectional area and local damage (LMA/LF) of wire ropes are determined by measuring the change of axial total magnetic flux of wire ropes under saturation magnetization.

LF: mainly describes the discontinuity on the wire rope. Such as broken wires, cracks, rust pits and strand splitting.

LMA: mainly describes the total amount of metal lost in a specified field. Metal cross-sectional area loss is usually caused by wear, corrosion and external mechanical damage.
