1. Check for corrosion:

2. Check the degree of wear:
The wire rope will be worn and its diameter will change during use. The maintainers should always measure the diameter of each section, especially the wear of the easy-to-wear section. If the diameter becomes much larger, it will be reported and stopped if it exceeds 5%.
3, with or without broken wire, wear phenomenon:
If the wire rope is used for a long time, the wire will break and grind. If the wire is seriously broken, it is necessary to stop using it. There are standards for judgment, generally as follows: the outer steel wire wear shall not exceed 40% of its diameter; No more than 2 cross-twisted wire ropes shall be within 6d and no more than 4 cross-twisted wire ropes shall be within 30d. The length of the straight-twisted wire rope shall not exceed 1 in 6d and 2 in 30d. Specific instructions or national standards shall prevail.
4. Check the fastening of both ends:
The wire rope will be connected with the hook. During the inspection, check the fastening of the connection and the firmness of the hook.
5. Check the shape of the wire rope:
After the wire rope is deformed, it will produce kink, flattening, strand extrusion, bending, etc. If these conditions are found, further non-destructive testing of the wire rope shall be carried out and the wire rope shall be scrapped in time. Note: The wire rope cannot be used after being scrapped.
6. Check the lubricating grease on the surface of the wire rope:
The maintenance of the wire rope is to wipe the lubricating grease, which plays the role of lubrication, corrosion resistance and abrasion resistance. When the wire rope is tested, the grease must be checked to ensure that the grease exists and there are no fines and other debris on the grease.
